Going into Rehab For The First Time

If you are considering going into rehab for the first time, you may be scared, not know what to expect and may have a long list of questions that you want to ask. For that reason, New Leaf Recovery have produced this article to try and help to put your mind to rest.

What happens first?

Initial assessment

An initial assessment will be carried out to create a personalised treatment plan for you and your addiction. This will happen either over the phone or in person and usually consists of a conversation asking you various questions. The assessment will help the staff at New Leaf understand your addiction including many factors which can impact your recovery process.

Detoxification

Detoxification involves flushing your body of all the substances within, that you are dependant upon. We have our own detox programme tailored to each individuals needs as mentioned above to provide you with the right support and medical attention.

Treatment

Treatment at New Leaf is carried out at our residential rehabilitation centre based in Birmingham. It involves multiple therapies and treatment services designed to offer you a successful addiction recovery.

Ongoing support

Here at New Leaf, we believe that rehab is not the end of your recovery journey. For this reason, we offer aftercare services and family support.

The experience

Along with providing you with a recovery programme, the treatment experience will provide you with a range of opportunities and experiences including:

  • Learning how to take better care of yourself mentally, physically and emotionally.
  • Explore a range of different therapies.
  • Making new friendships and supporting peers.
  • Allows time for reflection.

You shouldn’t let your fear get the better of you and prevent you from changing your life and turning over a new leaf. Contact us today via our online contact form, email us at info@newleafrecovery.co.uk or call us on 0300 999 0330.
